Why Chasing Losses Is Risky

Loss chasing means continuing, depositing again or raising stakes mainly to recover money already lost.

The mistaken logic

Random results do not compensate a player for earlier losses. A losing sequence does not make the next spin more likely to win. Raising the stake increases money at risk without changing that basic uncertainty.

Interrupt the cycle

Stop the session, log out and move away from the device. Do not review games while upset. Record the loss as spent entertainment money, block further deposits if possible and wait until the emotion has passed before making any decision.

When to seek help

If chasing happens repeatedly, affects bills or leads to borrowing or secrecy, stop gambling and use account exclusion tools. Contact a qualified local gambling-support or financial-counselling service. Immediate safety and essential expenses come first.
