Time-Outs and Self-Exclusion

A time-out creates a temporary break. Self-exclusion is generally intended as a stronger, longer restriction. Exact definitions vary.

Choosing a control

A short break may help interrupt impulsive play, while longer exclusion may be appropriate when gambling causes distress, debt, secrecy or repeated limit breaches. Read what the platform’s tool covers and when access can resume.

Close the practical gaps

Remove saved payment methods and gambling apps, disable promotional messages and consider device or banking blocks where available. If you use several sites, one account restriction may not cover the others.

Add human support

Tell a trusted person and contact a qualified local gambling-support or financial-counselling service. If you feel in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Account tools help, but they need not be used alone.
